WEEKLY COMMUNITY OUTINGS

Once per month, clients participate in a community outing to various local sites to include:  the Greensboro Science Museum; the Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC; the Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville, NC; and the NC Zoo in Asheboro NC - just to name a few. These outings are funded by biannual fundraisers held right here at NHTC.  Weekly outings and activities  are scheduled as follows:

Weekly outings take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week.  When going to the local library, staff and clients travel to the local library to check out reading material and/or videos, as well as access computers/internet to research educational and vocational information or to complete assigned activities.

Empty Gym Hall

REC CENTER

The Asheboro Recreational Center is also a weekly outing every Friday where clients participate in games of volleyball, HORSE, or basketball, while others utilize the walking track or various elliptical equipment.

BOWLING

Everyone enjoys a good game of bowling and at NHTC, it can get very competitive!  However, it's all done in a fun and supportive environment, and everyone has a great time.  Every Wednesday, we look forward to our bowling outing.
